Proper use of the wet curtain can bring a comfortable environment for the laying hens. If it is not used and maintained properly, it can also bring losses to the chicken farm. For example, cooling too quickly can cause colds and respiratory diseases in chickens.
If the water flow of the wet curtain is not smooth or ventilation is not good. The temperature of the chicken coop will not come down, which will cause heat stress.
Then the use and maintenance of the wet curtain become a problem that our chicken farms should be concerned about.

Maintenance of the wet curtain

In the hot season, in order to ensure that the wet curtain achieves the maximum cooling effect, the wet curtain must be kept clean.
Due to the long time use of the wet curtain, some algae, dirt,and dust will affect the water circulation and ventilation effect of the wet curtain, thus reducing the service life of the wet curtain.
Once the pad paper is stuffed with minerals and dust, it is difficult to restore to its original state, so we have to maintain the wet curtain.

In the use of wet curtains more season, we should at least two weeks to empty and clean the circulation system. Such as water line, circulating water tanks, and wet curtains depending on the situation cleaning, to reduce the wet curtain blockage.
When cleaning the wet curtain use a high-flow low-pressure cleaning machine, both inside and outside of the wet curtain to clean the surface and holes.

Never have the water curtain fully wet and the chicken coop temperature pulled too low.
As the wet curtain hole is continuously soaked with water, it will seriously affect the ventilation of the chicken coop.

Of course, the outside temperature is too high, the wet curtain opening time can be properly extended. The stopping time can be properlyshortened, achieving the effect of suppressing the chicken coop temperature rise.

In summer, the chicken coop wet curtain enabled temperature can be set to 28 ℃. Open times to wet curtain 1/2 best, generally 1-2 minutes or so; stop time to water curtain surface water will be dry as good, generally 6-8 minutes.

Wet curtain pool water temperature how high for good?

Not the lower the better, the general requirements of the wet curtain. A pool should be located in a cool backlit place, to prevent the pool water from overheating, the general water temperature is in about 25 ℃.
For extreme heat, you can also use the fog line with water spray to cool down the chickens back sprinkling water to cool down.
